The Octopus Net streams live TV on TV IP-enabled devices in the local network. It makes so many devices a Full HD (* 1) TV for satellite and cable TV. The free-to-air (* 2) channels are distributed in Full HD via LAN and / or WLAN in the local network. All models of the Octopus Net series include a 5-port managed GigaBit switch. The Octopus Net can be cascaded as required (control via IP address). Power is supplied via an external power supply (rack version also possible internally). The use of WLAN clients requires an additional WLAN access point. The devices Octopus NET MAX use an active cooling (fan) which operates temperature-controlled.

The Octopus NET V2 Max M4 - 4 Multituner includes four DVB-S / S2 / C / C2 / T / T2 / ISDB-T tuners via 5 ports. The configuration takes place via web interface, a firmware update takes place if necessary via LAN / Internet. The connection options for this model are the following:
To use the network tuner, you will need a client software or hardware client for your system environment. The TV IP client software for the protocol SAT> IP may be charged. The Digital Devices Octopus NET comes with the free DD-TV software. Satellite TV customers (receiving via DVB-S / S2)
Customers with a satellite TV connection can usually receive the public television programs (ARD, ZDF, third party programs and additionally many radio stations) in HD quality without SmartCard. Numerous private TV programs are also digitally available on the satellite TV. Optional: For the complete reception of all programs (scope depending on their concluded contract with the content provider) use our CI-Interface extension. This can be connected directly to your Digital Devices card.

Digital Devices DVB-S / S2 products and single-cable systems?
The standard distribution technique in the satellite range is the so-called star distribution (satellite block distribution). From the LNB or the multiswitch, individual cables are used on all the terminals, which is the most common type of distribution. While it leaves all options open, Unicable brings a whole new dimension in the cabling and use of satellite TV. Convenient change and / or extend, so no problem! With Unicable cabling, the LNB or multiswitch is replaced or expanded (cascaded) - the existing cabling remains untouched. Even former cable TV users will be so happy if you do not want to or can not lay new cables. The Unicable system (single cable solution) needs receivers, TV sets and TV tuners that support the protocol according to DIN EN 50494. All standard devices have Unicable support implemented, older receivers can be updated by firmware update. Up to 8 (!) Receivers / tuners can be operated on one cable.
