Could extreme weather conditions endanger my doorbell?

The doorbell systems are protected from wind and weather, but the manufacturer gives recommendations for the application area regarding the temperatures. These are between -30° C and +60° C and fall under the protection class IP65/IK07. These specifications describe different protection categories based on scenarios. In IP protection categories, the first digit stands for protection against contact and foreign bodies, in this case, digit 6 expresses that the devices are dust-proof. The second digit categorizes the protection against water and moisture. Here the 5 stands for protection against water jets from all sides.

The IK categorization evaluates the protection against impact energy measured in joules. IK07 devices are therefore protected from impacts of up to 2.0 joules.
